Swap Magic Boot Discs:

Swap Magic V3.0 can change the color system (NTSC,PAL) output of the PS2 so that you can play all the NTSC and PAL games, provided that your PS2 console is the NTSC USA version. NOTE: Swap Magic V3.0 CD disc will not work on version 9 or higher consoles (SCPH-50xxx). Simply load the disc when it says start game, open up the flip top and switch with copy/import disc press X and the game will start. A perfect solution for playing backup and import games. Flip-Top Cover:

The easiest way to mod your PS2 to play backups(Note: in order to play PS1 backups, you will need to purchase a GameShark) and imports! All you need is a screwdriver and the job should take you five minutes. Just replace your current PS2 cover with the Flip-Top and you can easily swap your backup with the Swap Magic boot disc.
